I am delighted to bring Adam Benjamin to town to lead an inclusive workshop; I have really enjoyed learning with him in wider Devon and find my movement practice invigorated for it. We move from simple scores of time, pace, place, and space, developing into integrated improvisations.

You are welcome whether beginner or experienced – Adam creates welcoming environments for those new to improvisation and supports those with experience to move beyond familiar edges.

We will tune our group awareness, working through our senses & developing our choice making.

Adam teaches with humour and patience and is practised at encouraging us to look beyond the familiar. He is a choreographer, author and one of the pioneers of integrated dance on racial and disability lines. He has been on faculty for theatre and performance at Plymouth University, co- founded Tshwaragano Dance Company, 5 Men Dancing and CandoCo. He currently teaches tai chi and is developing the Dancers’ Forest – a movement to bring greater ecological awareness to the dance industry.

Note, no music – we work with movement to the background of silence.

We also have a few bursary spaces at £95 for students/those unable to attend otherwise. Workshop produced by myself and Asher Levin.
